The tsrm labels this hose as the "number 1 turbo water hose". I had a coolant leak due to a hole in that hose. I'm just wondering if I could replace it with a regular coolant hose from the local shop, or do I need to get a special one? I don't know if pressure plays a factor?
No. 1 turbo water hose.

you should be fine with a high quality hose. pressure isnt related to the type of the hose that is used btw, only the limitations of the hose.
