Just got the little warning that I hadn't posted yet in 35 days...blah blah. ;)

I'm from Chicago, I own an 01 Firebird with a th400, full bolt-ons, big cam, etc. Before that I owned an 89 Mustang hatch that went 10.70s on a 150 shot. Now I'm looking into swapping a 2JZ NA/T into an FB or FC rx-7. Probably a mostly stock longblock(ARP hardware, headgasket, and cams), MP t-70 turbo, MegaSquirt with a distributorless ignition, and a powerglide trans.

So, hi.

that would be nuts to see a 2j smashed into the bay of a first gen. i always point out them when i see em. just put your firebird motor into an FC and the 2j into the firebird. either way, welcome to the forum and i can't wait to see which idea comes to life.

LOL. Well, for one, LS1s in RX7's are WAY too played out...Everyone has one. Two, I never want to work on an LS1 f-body again...It's horrible.

The LS1 is an awesome motor...The f-body is an awesome chassis(killer stock style suspension)...But when the two come together it's a bitch to work on.

But, I'm probably going to sell the firebird this fall or next spring, and go find a clean FB/FC chassis to start building.

Quite a few. LS1 FD's are more popular, but there's plenty of LS1 FC's around.

I may do an FC with the 8.8 swap kit that Granny's makes. I guess it depends on what kind of car I can find.
