Hi im new here, and I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Bryan Mounce, Im 16 years old, live in shelbyville, In. I have a awd plymouth laser. And lately i've really been getting into mk3's. My friend has one. I am thinking about getting one for myself. I've been searching, and I was wonder if there is any years thats I should look out for(like for dsm's its the 2nd gens.). Any mojor problems that I should be looking out for when buying an MK3. Any recalls and stuff like that. Im hoping to get a 7m-gte. Thanks in advance.

I guess that depends on how mechanically inclined you are or would be willing to become. It's a old car and is gonna need a little TLC no matter what year/condition it is in. They are awesome cars, but aren't the poster children for the notorious Toyota reliability. Don't get me wrong when properly maintained they are reliable...but still need to keep on top of them. She can be a mean bitch at times. But definitely better than any DSM!!!
