so i just got out of school and am trying to clean all of the cob webs and what not off of it, but there is one problem that i am having but i am not quite sure if i know what it is, if i try to start it it cranks but no rpm showing at all, now i am guessing that it could be the cam sensor, and i've priced out a new one in my area and they wanted ONLY $600.

look or post in the WTB section on here for one they normally go for around 50 bucks...
also its MORE likely that its the wiring in that area then the actual CPS itself.

thanks. i also forgot to mention that it has been changed with another 7m, and when i pulled there was no oil on the inside.
ok seeing as my jackass friend did it for me last year, he had cut the wire that goes th the O2, do you guys think that would cause it not to start, plus the cps is wired up but still no rpm while i try to start it?
i dont know if you need the 02 sensor to start the car, but i do know you will need it to drive it around but, if you are geting no rpm sig then you need to trace out the CPS then take a look at the igniter i think the tac wire is under it and it is yellow I THINK JJ would know more about that as i have never had any problems with my cps or tach """KNOCK ON WOOD"".
