I took the plunge to home depot to make an upper radiator hard pipe out of the chromed brass J tube used in sinks.lol It looks just like the ones everyone is selling for 80.00. It cost $7.00. I just cut off the threaded end, and cut it to the correct size and used the stock rubber hose to attach it. I bought Silicone hose from Aeroquip but I had a hard time sealing it with the clamps and decided to use the stock hose at this point! Great look and nicely priced for those that want to try it! you can't tell that I made this. To keep the hose from coming off under pressure sand the very ends and put a bead of JB Weld around both ends and clamp. I put it in the oven for a few minutes at 250 to get it dried QWIKLY.lol

damn, i was like: not another HD thread! but that looks damn good! i like how much space you left between the hardpipe and the water outlet from the motor and from the radiator. whether or not that was intentional isnt important, the fact is that it's there.

it allows for the motor to flex separately from the radiator, which is good. (rather than having the radiator trying to flex with the motor, which causes the inlet to be ripped off on occasion...)

looks good!

It was intentional....I got tired of the old hose rubbig against my painted cover. When I open up the cover with a plexiglas window I cant have it rubbing. Just take the time to measue and cut the hose while it is on the pipe to the radiator.

Thanks all. I am on Supra forums so much I allmost forget to post here at times!

I love how there are no trollish people here talking shit about buying a pipe from home depot. Nothing but love in this thread unlike the SF thread. I think it looks good Qwik.

I come from a land down under
Quick: To De HD your mod just take it to a shop and have a bead rolled on the ends and you have a fully functional great looking mod!
(I have nothing against cheap as long as it isn't ghettoish!)

Supra forums has its good along with the bad. That is just the way it is and we all are entitled to our own opinons. Besides to me it's what I think that counts most.;) :biglaugh:

The problem is that my pipe is right up to the thermostat and his is not. The pipe is bigger than the thermostat oultet and there for the uneveness makes it seem like it is bulging!
