my turbo is on it's way out dumping oil in the intercooler smokes a little but not much yet, but i need to start planning on a new turbo, just wanted to know what's my best bet, i just want to get a new turbo ro turbo setup then i don't have to upgrade fuel right now but can later and turn up the boost.

been looking at 60 trim ct-26
also a ss T4 manifold with a t4 turbo but i don't know what size turbo to go with am trying to keep it under a grand, i can make down pipe and intercooler pipe if needed.

also if i get a bigger turbo will i have to get more fuel if i run stock boost.

if you wanna stay under a grand rebuild it with the high trim and spend the rest the money on the fuel system keep it safe don't go lean.

Technically you could run stock boost or right up to FCO on a 60 trim CT26 with no prob, however you'd be seriously wasting that turbo. In order to see the most from even a 57 trim CT26 you'll need bigger injectors and some sort of fuel control..

im kind of in the same boat, my turbo may be on its last leg (we'll see when i get it running) im starting to look into turbos, but i hear that upgraded ct's pull good and all but dont last that long, so i was looking at maybe an sp61 or a to4e with a new mani. i dont want to blow money on stupid stuff but i dont want to go cheap, so i want to do the fuel and stuff right , because there is no way in hell im buying a nice turbo/mani and not running higher boost levels.

sp61gt for the win! for a little over a grand you could get a brand new turbo thats even bigger then the 60-1. also with the new dbb center section coming out tis going to be even better... :)

How far can you push a 7MGTE with stock pistons and rods, a fresh build with a MHG and full ARP hardware (Headstuds Mainstuds, and Rodbolts)?

You can push it as far as your abilities to tune.
I have never heard of high power devastating a stock 7m, just poor tune.

500rwhp seems to be about the limit for stock internals regardless of the tune, its just a matter of time really.
