Hey everyone, I'm new here so I decided I would make an introduction.

I'm 17 years old.
I HATE rice.
I LOVE rice.(the food)
I love and respect cars, I can't stand when people but a car, even a nice Honda Civic, just so they can put a crappy body kit and a fart can on the back, then paint it primer gray.
I own a 1987 Honda CRX Si. It is my first car, and I am trying to get rid of it. I wanted to restore it to brand new, but with the 1st gen CRX, that's nearly impossible with my budget.
I decided to part out the car, which I just started a couple days ago, and I'm going to put the money toward an MK III. I'm saving up my money, I'm looking at paying under $3500 for a black 89+ in really good condition. I've seen a few, but I don't have the money yet, so those deals will just have to be passed by.

I hope to fit in well here, as I will probably have lots of questions about the car.

$3500? Be careful, what may look like awesome deals may have a lot of underlying problems... Check for BHG, any strange noises, rust(in the spare tire well and fenders), etc. more will chime in i'm sure...

YEP! I've read up on these cars, I'm about to read the third write-up on what to look for when buying them. If there is something wrong, I should know.

Welcome Mr. Dragster. You seem like a cool guy even though you said "nice Honda Civic" in the same sentence................:biglaugh:

Just teasing you, I'm sure there are some nice hond.............OHHHH I can't say it!!!!!! anyways, I hope you like it here and don't be scared to ask any question you want to once you've searched for the answer on your own. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a supra in Texas. Alabama on the other hand, they're very rare. Good luck and I hope you enjoy it here...............lol

Welcome to the forum. It's refreshing to hear from a youngster who can actually write. Like you, I HATE rice, but love RICE (the food). Only by chance I ended up owning two Honda Civics (99% stock), which I daily drive. And I agree, many people mess around with those poor cars, bringing bad image to a fine economy car. But there's nothing like the mk3. Good luck with whatever you buy. I don't know your circumstances, but if i was you, I would keep the CRX as a daily driver, if at all possible. With the Supra, I'm sure you'll sooner or later feel the need to mod it, will have some Supra downtime, and you still need to get around. Just a thought.
Again, welcome to the forum.

The only time my Supra will have down time in the next 5 years is regular maintenance. I know I said I'm looking for one for about $3,000, BUT I'm willing to break that limit if the car is worth it. I'd say the maximum will be $5,000.

BTW: I know this is kind of random, but its how I make money. Does anyone need a need computer or two? I can build a beast of a machine, or even just a mid range PC for anyone here for a REALLY good price.
