Okay, so i just now got into Supra's and just joined this forum about 3 days ago.
I was wanting to know what engine harness' are compatible with a 1990 Supra.
This is the car that i am looking at, he only wants 800 http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/2538751958.html
Also, later on i am wanting to do a 2jzgte swap into a supra and was wondering if i could just use all of that harness, or do i have to get a 7mgte engine harness and splice them together? I am trying to go look at this car today before 5 and was wanting to know some of this information before i go.
Thank you
Josh.

I wouldn't pay more than $650 for that shell. You'll want 1989-1992 gray plug 7M wiring for it. If you do a 2JZ-GTE swap, the wiring is far from plug-n-play but you'll still need your 7M dash plugs and C1 body plug to splice into the 2JZ harness.

i know it's not plug and play, but i was reading on these forums and i guess i could send my wiring to a guy and he would splice it all together? i don't know how old that thread was. But thank you for the information, i'm going to keep an eye out for another body.

Yep, He is called Dr Tweak, he is a member here, and this is his website, http://www.phoenixtuning.com/

Its hard to tell the condition of that shell in the pics, did you go check it out? He may be willing to come down.

Thanks for sending me a link to his website and everything.

i didn't end up going, but i am going to see if he will come down because it needs a windshield, also. How hard is it to find stock engine harness'? are they rare, or could i just go to the junkyard and probably find one? i'm going to try to get him down to 600 or 700.

They are not hard to find if you know where to look. *hint* try the classifieds

Junkyards are hit or miss. In CA there were supras in the yard all the time, in WI not so much.
