i am looking into buying and mk3 89-92 turbo 5 speed....and i have a couple of questions


1.how much power will the stock internals handle.
2. how reliable are these car with alot of power
3.where can i find aftermarket parts: like turbo kits intake exhaust blowoffvalve..etc
4.are those ebay turbo kits for like $800 trustworthy

1.400 reliably with a rebuild
2. reliable with rebuild. keep oil in them
3. on this site or any sponsor.
4. and no. some are glued together.

1. Lots. The good doctor is making considerably over 400 at the wheels with a stock block.

3. Depends on what you are looking for. We'll usually steer you towards our authorized vendors, but there are also other vendors out there that supply the Mk3 market, and we have no problems pointing you in their direction if they have a better deal, are more convenient for you, or carry something that the vendors here do not. Basically just post up whatever part you are currently looking for and your approximate budget, chances are you will get a LOT of suggestions.

4. The jury is still out on these. There have been some bad experiences, one more guy just bought one and will be giving it a try. I honestly expect his to fail miserably as well, but if we have the time to wait and see, why not just wait and see?

welcome to sm. ask the doc about hp componets. as far as parts get them from members here or on sf. also suprastore has a little bit,,, as far as the ebay kits it depends on how much you know and can do

4. guy tested it, was a T70, and after a few mins it started smoking.... steerclear from unless you like pulling turbos.

Change ALL fluids,ALL belts and hoses,leave nothing to question
