So, last year my best time was a 15.527, with a sickly 2.98s 60'. Yuck.

This year, I've added in one of BecauseIcan's DDPs, and a MAFT... still stock turbo & fuel, though. Friday night hit up the local street legal drags, and managed to pull off a 14.071 @ 100.08mph, with a 2.213s 60'. Gotta admit, I'm pleased as punch. After the night was over, I realized that I forgot to pull out my 120lbs of subwoofer box! I guess I'm going to have to buy a helmet if I want to continue racing. :)

I've got to say thanks to Randy (BecauseIcan) and Full Throttle Speed for the parts, they are awesome, and well worth the dollars.

PS: I'm still running stock sawblades with snow tires, too. :)

Nice run Grim! I'm going to the track this coming Friday, I too am on stock turbo and fuel. Although I'm gonna do the 12v mod and put it at 13psi. Got my new Spec stage 2 in and broken in too. I hope to run as good a time as you.

PS: When are you gonna put those rims you showed on that car.
I thought by now they would be on already.

Is this car untouched with the exception of the modifications that you have listed in this post?

I'm curious as to what your level of boost is, what head gasket you're running, what altitude you're running at, what octane level of fuel you're running and what kind of clutch you are using.

Any more data?

I'd love to go with a DDP and plan on it, but I'm just fishing around to see what people are running with what modifications.

I WANNA KNOW!!!! lol....

I was running 13psi for that run. There are a bunch of other mods to the car, but most of them don't make that much difference.

- Custom exhaust - 3 inch mandrel bends welded into the stock routing, into a 3" in Magnaflow exhaust. New high flow cat, 3" in and out.
- Solid aluminum motor mounts.
- Spec stage 3 clutch and RPS billet flywheel.
- Bosh Saab by pass valve.
- Ghetto 2" conduit IC piping in all the restrictive spots... no more plastic pieces, and the aluminum 90 degree bend in the lower pipe is gone as well.
- Stock head gasket, ARP head bolts torqued to about 95 foot pounds.
- MAFT and the 3" Impala SS MAF. Mainly used to defeat fuel cut at the moment, by leaning out the WOT settings.
- BIC DDP
- I usually use 94 octane fuel... however, on these runs, I had to compromise. I was running with a half tank, about 75% of which was 94, the other 25% of which was 91.
- Mission Raceway is at sea level.
- I'm sure there is something else I've forgotten, but like I said - most of that makes little to no difference on the track.

Aye Mate, I don't put much faith in the 12v fuel pressure mod. All it does is increase your fuel when you aren't at WOT yet... and trust me, on the drag strip, you are always at WOT. :)

Tony, I'm still waiting for Robert to ship me those rims. :( When they get here, I'll have them on withing hours, I promise. Then I need to pick up a set of lowering springs from Mike.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. It was a hell of a lot of fun - I've got wheels with Falken tires on the way, hopefully that will let me drop the 60' a bit more... of course, then they are going to kick my sorry ass off until I can get a helmet! But I really don't care... I went out with the intention of running a high 14, and figuring I'd be happy to take a mid 14. Low 14 was out of the question, so when I got that timeslip I literally giggled in glee. :)
