Hello all. Thanks to 87ttsupra and his "87 mkiii 2j killer" build, I've fallen in love with these cars and most recently acquired my first: an 89 n/a 5sp targa top. Has upgraded clutch and flywheel, as well as headers. Engine in good condition, I'm very happy 
The project now... the motor has not been in the car due to the fact that the previous owner (who had the engine for 16 yrs) was driving interstate speeds when the crank pulley fell off, resulting in some damage to the end of the crank. Not too much, but just enough that it needs replaced. Here's a pic of the damage:
The progress so far... the trans and bottom end is off and just about to pull out the crank. Decided to take off the a/c and egr system while we had the engine out. I will have some pics of the car itself asap, as well as updates on future plans.
