Quick Question...What is a common Turbo that would't cause alot of lag and that would have decent spool time that would be a direct bolt on to my stock turbo manifold? I have a friend that has a ct27 and a ct20b, $150.00 for ct27 and $100 for the ct20b, came off a 3rd gen 3sgte..Decent sized/bigger turbo? or go with somthing else?

Upgrade your Ct-26. You can stick a larger wheel in there... theres plenty of info all over this site and others. Do a search on upgraded ct-26 or even check out the new turbocharger section, which has a great write up in there.

In addition to the upgraded CT26, there is the bolt on LIPP/ITS turbo sold through Supra Sport. You don't have to use one as large as Malloynx did. It should respond rather nicely.

Whoa there young Jedi.

That turbo won't do you a bit of good untill we know you have a nice healthy engine and a healthy head gasket.

Next, you need a full 3" exhaust.

After that, you need to do some fuel upgrades (injectors, pump, regulator)

THEN.....

It would be a good idea to upgrade to a bigger turbo.

Untill then, get all those other things done, and turn up the stocker to 12-14psi.

As stated above its a good idea to get the supporting mods done beforehand that way you don't damage anything else in the proccess.

But, as far as upgraded turbos, the upgraded Ct's are the ticket.

You can search around for many various threads on different types of upgrades, wheels, trims etc.

Most commonly you'll find the 57 trim, 60 trim, and then a 60-1.
Theres also a thread floating around here with a ton of information on what all those numbers mean too!

Personally, i'm rockin' the 60-1 and love it. Combined with the right fuel system and exhaust, its a beast. Nothing huge on the show factor, but power wise its excellent!

I would like to add full IC hardpipe kit and aftermarket replacement Intercooler with a recirculated BOV to the list of parts to get before upgrading your turbo ;).

since we're on the upgraded ct26 topic. I was kinda wondering.. how does this react towards emissions. meaning would a say 57 trim get passed the smog tech?

well it would look stock so it would pass the visual,

and during an emisions run so long as you stay in vaccume like you should, there shouldn't be a problem passing, , the ecu controls fuel in closed loop, to get good emissions..
