Its best to let a good machine shop do it for you.
I had my rods done for my ARPS and it cost me $80.
I know you are using stock ones but believe me let the shop do it.
Sometimes the rod is out of round on the bearing surfaces and when you put in new bearings, there will be uneven wear and that causes rod knock.
Some people just press fit in the rod bolts or the ARPs not realizing
that they are distorting the rod. You cannot see it but if you put a dial indicator on the bearing surface and check it, you will see it is out of round.
The shop I took it to showed me what they do to the rods and how they check it and mostly why...After I saw it I was surprised at how easily the bearings surface were out of round.
Ask IJ too. He will tell you the same.
Cheers,
