Woa boy... first cars are great! Put a down payment on my new car on sunday! (Owners down in cali till the 9th, so no car till then! Waiting sucks!)...

It's an 88 Supra N/A... 180,000KM (canadian eh? about 110,000miles for you americans :naughty: )... 60,000KM on a rebuilt motor/tranny... Last owner drove it only on weekends during the summer since the rebuild.. putting 60 k on it in the last 10 years, never driven in snow, garage kept..... babied it.

Interior needs some work, steering wheel leather in bad shape, center console lid/armrest is in rough shape (going to order a replacement cover)...

Exterior has little wrong with it... a ding in the lower part of the passenger side door, plastic body panel infront of rear wheel is cracked... and needs a new windshield and driverside door handle (break-in attempt)

Took it out for a 2 hour test drive, drove the sh*t out of it, nothing wrong with it... minor exhaust leak, but has what looks like it could be the original muffler so not suprised... Suspension feels like new (might be aftermarket.. really stiff)... could use new rubber.

I hate waiting... 6 more days untill I get my baby... What do you think?

sounds like a good deal to me, I paid $1000 US for mine but of course it had rod knock too unbeknownst to me or the prior owner. Damn cooling fan was locked in place and couldnt hear it. I give two thumbs up!

So what are your plans with it?

Dunno.. fix all the minor little things (mostly appearance).. Then start looking into some performance mods... simple things like intake and exhaust... Maybe some new wheels and some new rubber, lower it a bit.. I'm not a fan of body kits and stuff like that, I'm glad it didnt come with a wing, I hate em. But ya, nothing nuts, just a fun daily driver. I'm 18 so not a whole lot of money to drop into it other than for maintenance and minor things. I'm going to invest most of my money into audio tho.

nice, I wish mine had come wingless too. Oh well, have you checked to see if it is a sport package car? If it is it should come with TEMS headlight washers, and a LSD. If it isnt you should def look into getting a NA LSD, makes making low speed sharp turns quite entertaining in the rain, but def a worthwhile upgrade.

It is located right behind the shifter, well kind of inbetween the shifter and the armrest. It would just have two buttons one saying normal and the other sport. But to be honest with you if it has the washers it probably is a sport version. Ive heard from other people that TEMS was still an option even with the sport package, but the headlight washers was part of it on 88s & down. But you should see a "gauge" that tells you whether it is in soft, normal, or firm mode on the dash

Oh.. well it doesn't have TEMS I guess, ah well, it has all the lumbar and electronic mirros switches there, love that lumbar haha... Hmm, it has cloth interior, could it still be a sport model? Did the sport model not come with a wing or something?

No na's came with a wing, I think the only reason mine has it was because it was a dealer installed option. Mine has the lumbar controls, electric mirrors, windows, door locks, abs, the washers, TEMS, and the lsd. Leather and the turbo are the only things it didnt come with (though my insurance co is certain that it is a turbo car for some reason).

There are a couple ways you can tell if you have a lsd or not. The most accurate way would be to jack the rear of the car up, tranny in nuetral, and spin one of the tires. If the other wheel turns in the same direction as the one your turning you have a lsd, if not you have a open diff. The other way of course, is more fun but not 100%, is to rev the car up to about 6000rpm and dump the clutch. Then just get out and check the burn marks left on the rd. If there are two its most likely a lsd, if not.....

you guys can chide me if I am wrong but....., it has always been my personal opinion that you can always tell what type of person you are dealing with by two ways. How clean they keep there personal shitter, and how clean they keep the inside and out of there car even if it is a p.o.s. . And if the interior is shot..., then IMO, it wasn't babied. But it sounds like you got a good deal none the less. Interior is less expensive than a new engine or an engine rebuild or an engine upgrade.

Interior is in great shape... he was a carpet layer, so he had glue on his hands when he drove his car sometimes, so it ate away the stearing wheel... and the armrest is worn out from 180,000km of driving... and e-brake same thing.. interior is spotless otherwise...

I bought it from a girl who was the 3rd owner.. she had it from a month.. and in that month she let the interior slip a bit... thankfully she didnt have it long enough to do serious damage to it... I called the previous owner and he told me the entire history of the car (he wasnt selling it to me, so he told me everything about the car, non biased.. you could tell he loved and babied the car)... I'm really happy with it.

Your'e right. It's way cool to be getting something you have been waiting that long for. I bet that does make it suck to have to wait a few more days for it. Your'e going to love it. I hope you have some tools. LOL.
