hey everyone, my buddy tyler, just got to race his mk3 again today at the uti drags that his school sponsored, and he just broke into the elevens! we were all pretty happy about that. i dont know what the records are out there for best times on given mods, but i can tell you some of what his are and what he ran. i got it on video too, so i'll try to post it up here if i can.

11.6 @ 116, 1.5 60ft

mt et street tires, DOT APPROVED. 3850 lbs with driver and fuel. STOCK block and turbo manifold. "blowzilla" turbo, greddy ic, 3in exhaust, map ecu, dual feed fuel rail. running at 20 pounds of boost. dyno'd 469whp in vegas this year.

congrats on the numbers!

any other vids? the audio is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

btw, i looked into the blowzilla turbo, wasnt sure what that was. for others interested-

built by phoenix turbo. called t4/GT40. also have a T3 version.

curious, there is nothing GT40 about the turbo. small GT40 (82) is a 58mm inducer. large GT40 (88) is a 64.5mm inducer. yeah, there is a 4067 and 4094 also, but those are much larger. this turbo is a 61mm inducer, so basically a pt/sp61. while the inducer is the same size as the gt35r, it is not the same compressor section as a gt35r as listed. the gt series are one piece, not bolt together.

sorry for my rant, i just hate it when companies throw around familiar names to try and sell a turbo. dont get me wrong, a pt/sp61 is a wicked turbo, and capable of some good numbers. there is just nothing gt40 or gt35r about it.

so yeah, everything and more than you wanted to know about the blowzilla lol

the 82mm wheel is a GT40 wheel.. its confusing like the gt3040s that use the 82 56 trim wheel (61mm gt35R wheel)

right, the gt turbos are listed as exducer size instead of inducer size. the 4082 is a 58mm inducer, 82mm exducer.

i was just saying the specs on the blowzilla, or the design isnt related at all to the gt40, despite being called a gt40. or am i missing what you are saying?

crap, good run. 3850lbs...how much of the interior is gone? i can only imagine how fast it would be without crash beams, etc.
the interior is complete... this is a full weight supra. still has back seats, stereo, everything.

the car only needs a couple more pounds of boost and he's gonna break 11.49, then its time for a cage! :D
