Hey all.....
I am back :)

I think i better show you all what i just got made for my 24v itb project.
Here is latest news from my itb projects.

For a long time ago, me and my friend make a drawing of the adapter that i should use for mounting the BMW itb on my 7MGE head.
Now i got the oppourtunity to have it made.

This is a bolt on assemblie....mount the adapter on the head.....and the ITB on the adapter. :).
The plan is changed a little.
The head will be mounted on my 6m bottom, so it will be 3.0 24v.

Here is some pics

Damm i am looking forward to get it all mounted.....:)....
and hear it rev ;-)

i wonder how much gain that thing will produce...

i mean, all i can think about is driving my parents M roadster with the straight 6 and itb setup... and the amount of pull that thing has... granted the supra is much heavier.. it has to make a huge difference.. right>?

Nice, I have been looking around for a good ITB to start with, never was aware BMW had them.

What do you plan to do with the brake booster and vacuum lines?

Also, are you going to run a stock flapper, or are you going with a MAP based system?

The 5 & 6Ms had totally different valve covers.
Maybe a 5M engine, with a 7M head, and he painted the '2800' on it.
Who knows, Jens seldom answers questions.......

Hey again.

2800 on the valve cover :).
Originally my plan was to mount the 24v head on a 5m (2.8) block.

Then my ide was to use the 5m block, but have it bored up to 85mm.
That way the bore strok would be 85x85mm.....an quardratic engine.

But then i done some more researching, and found out off that it would be better with the stoke at 91mm as the 6m/7m got.

So the 6m engine that i got form one of my other supras, is now a short block.
I will then take the 12v pistons from that engine, and have it machinned so it will fitt to the 24v head.
That way i use the original pistons, only difference is the 12v pistons will be mounted under a 24v head :).
And the big gain for mee....the compression rate wil increase....and that is what i like....High rpm and high compression ;-).

I hope that i someday can afford new pistons and rods to the engine.
Then it would be 13:1 and 85mm pistons.....Then there should stand 3200 on the valve cover.

I have the oppourtunity to recive some regirnd cams to the project.
The cams will be as sharp as possible, he told me the last ones he made for that type engine was 300 degress.....and perhaps it could be a little more than that.

So hopfully a crazy NA engine will be assemblied here in the winter time :).

Brake booster and vaccum lines......
There is to options.
The first one....I use teh original or rebuild it so there is space to intake trumpets.
The second one....I use the hydraulic vaccum converter i have bought for the project.
Instead of air, this thing is activated by using a belt driving servopump.
I cant explain...but i will show on pic if it will be made that way. :)

Map or what...

I use the Electromotive tec3r engine control system.
I can either use the vaccum signal using a map sensor, or bypassing the tps sensor and the mapsensor signals.
That way the map will follow the tps signal. And it works ;-).

Best regards Jens Pedersen
