Not an owner of a Supra, but have worked on many MKIII's at the dealer level as a Toyota tech. My primary interest is the possibility of some kind of engine conversion using the 1JGZ or 2JZG. One possible candidate I have among my project cars is a 73 240Z. Until now I had thought about keeping it all Datsun (tend to be a purist with some of the older sporty cars) but the idea of running one of the JGZ engines in the Datsun is intriguing.
At this point I have been a lurker,,,keeping an eye out for ideas

welcome. and can't wait to see that build.:icon_bigg
My friend has a 71 240z and built it for autocross with triple webers, highlift cams, etc. he regrets it now and wishes he;d put a 2j or rb motor. Id say go 2jz if your goal is to make it extremely quick with equal torque. I believe thats what suprahero meant to say :biglaugh: sorry, had to start.
