New look for my '91 Twin Turbo

Never one to settle for one look for too long, decided the Supra needed a change.

Actually, I've been planning this for a while, except for the wheels, which just magically came up for sale from out of nowhere.

Still a few things need to be finished up such as foglights and turn signal covers... but you get the idea.

Cliff notes... Got rid of the GReddy bumper, swapped in stock bumper plus S2 air guide, Hiro lip. Got rid of the GT-7s, new SSR SP1s. Bomex whale tail (original Bomex from 4 years ago) :D

Awesome! A nice clean look. I didn't think you could do better than the GReddy bumper on your car, but ...wow! I like the wheels much better than the GT-7's.

Very nice. Looking good with those wheels you have now. What color is that?

Very nice, Mike! +3 for the rims, S2 air guide, and Bomex tail. (Is it the picture, or is the S2 air guide pulled upwards at the center, right above where the license plate goes?)

As for the Hiro lip. Hmmmmm. +0. I've never liked the fitment around the fog lights and the line that it adds on the sides of the bumper.

Nevertheless, very nice overall!

Non-factory grey, definitely not the stock 0182.

How much did that S2 duct cost ya? it's fucking gorgeous...

About $200. It's FRP, not the CF one which is about $350.

No, you're right. It's not perfect... but that's what I was expecting, so it's not terribly a big deal to me. Good enough for now.

Mike, if you get the air guide molded onto the bumper, the flaw on the center will not be as noticeable.

I see no flaw...

urethane is impossible to get 100% straight, it looks fine...

First...open your eyes wider and look at the center of the air guide, right below where the license plate is intended to be mounted. Second, the S2 air guide is made of FRP. So are you saying that the OEM bumper is not straight? :sarcasm:

yes, but it's attached to a urethane bumper...

it's MINOR compared to any number of flaws I see in a brand new car...

:icon_roll The OEM urethane bumper is straight. Look at the S2 air guide; obviously, it is not straight. Even the owner says so, who I know pays careful attention to detail.

Sorry, Mike. Didn't mean to hijack your thread. Back to applauding your car: The GT-7s looked good on your car, but the SSRs look even better. To me, the S2 air guide + OEM bumper improves the clean factory look:aigo:
