I have a new intercooler set-up that works great for me and I think more people should use it. I used the lipp aluminum intercooler piping and the driftmotion spearco intercooler. I was told all I needed was 2 90 degree silicone couplers, but when doing the install I ended up needing 2 different couplers. I blame this more on lipp/suprasport.com, rather than driftmotion. The coupler that suprasport gave me didn't adapt to the stock ct26, so I used a 2"-2.5" coupler that I sourced. Also, the coupler that goes through the fenderwall wasn't long enough. I SUPPOSE you could use the one that they sent, but it would be nearly impossible to get on or off. The coupler they sent isn't long enough, so I sourced a longer one. I hope to have the upper pictures up by tomorrow, but for now this will do. The install of the intercooler was super easy. Driftmotion.com sent 4 brackets that can be easily cut and modified for my custom install. Aaron at driftmotion was a lot of help, and he has a plethera of knowledge. I can't remember the guy at suprasport that helped me out. I couldn't figure out how to get the bumper off, but they were patient, and we got it all worked out. Here is the price breakdown......

lipp intercooler piping 2.5" all the way.................................. 385 shipped
driftmotion spearco replica w/ 90 elbows...................... about 350 shipped
(getting the longer coupler, and the 2-2.5 transition coupler.......25 shipped
greddy rs (comes with adapter)...........................................165 shipped

I didn't trim the body or stock parts at all. The oil cooler is in the stock position. Everything sent was top quality. I love the whole set-up. More pics to come!

looks great you'll be happy. The difference will be night and day depending on how bad of condition the stocker was in. Mine the powerband went completeley smooth to redline and drastically reduced heatsoak. Oh yeah good power increase of course

I have the same setup the intercooler installs easy just bend the universal brackets and go! hardest part was finding 90 degree elbows around here. and once i foudn them they cost me $100 i should have ordered them with the intercooler.

I have cooleeze piping fit fine. just make sure that one of the 90 degree elbows you get have a bit of extra length on one end. The cooleeze piping has that secondary pipe and coupler that makes the lower pipe 2 pieces. I removed the second little one and the coupler reached the main pipe so it was ok. it might work another way im not sure. If you have the IC all the way touching the oil cooler or move the oil cooler than there might be clearance to have the secondary pipe in with a short coupler

before you put that all back together, make sure all those hose clamps are easily accessable when you put the bumper back on. :)

Good install, on one of you pics though it shows how easy it would have been to just use universal piping and go through the snorkel hole and save yourself uneeded bends and length of piping ;). If you bought the entire kit that Big A sells you could have saved some $ and gained a little extra HP, not to mention the bling factor of pollished IC piping ;).

That's what I did, but I kind of like the perfect fit of his pipes.

Do you have any pics with the bumper reinstalled? Also a before and after pic if possible. I want to know if this makes the intercooler as visible as a front mount. It looks so hot...great install.

I don't have any as of right now. I'll try to get a hold of a camara before i leave tomorrow (im going skiing in colorado, and visiting my resently engaged bro). Im working the grave shift from 4am to noon, so hopefully ill be able to get a hold of a camara and take pic for you. if not, just know that its pretty sleeper. it isn't extremely visibile. its real sleeper. the underhood pics look real nice. ill try to get this done for everybody, if i don't get it done, i should have pics up when i return in a week.
