Hey guys what's up? Im new to this forum and I just want to introduce myself. My name is Arvil and I live in Norwalk CA. I have a 87 mk3 non turbo 5 speed... but I jusr recently took out the motor and tranny, and stripped the whole interior of the car. My plan is to get it repainted, complete suspension work, and a 1JZ w/ 5 speed tranny swap.

My biggest concern is swapping in the 5 speed. Has anyone in here converted a auto to manual? How difficult is it to add a clutch pedal, clutch master cylinder, lines?

A parts car would be good. New replacement will be somewhat costly. I have no intrest in trying to figure people out, so you don't have to say why.

You should hit the 1JZ section for your tips and help.

Hi, the title of the thread is misleading, makes me say that this should go into the Introductions sub-forum, but then you ask about a 5spd. swap. Just as a suggestion you should probably be careful about where you post things, I'm sure this is in the right place but a relevant title might help.

As for the supra, sounds like you got some nice plans, you should start a build thread to show your prgress and get some input and help along the way. As for the swap, there are a couple people that have done it already, search around a bit, there are a few threads on it. Look over them and you'll be wiser for it.

Thanks for the little details guys. Sorry if im posting in the wrong place. Just very new to this. And im doing all this on my phone. But yeah, ill look around for more details and ill keep you guys updated on this project.

Find a donor car for the pedals, etc. it's not very hard, everything bolts in.
