interesting swap, does the lp act as sort of a nitrous like item or what, im unfamiliar on it

No...nitrous is an oxidizer...Liquid Propane Gas is the fuel...so no gasoline, its got an octane rating up to 110

IJ knows... no one would do an LPG project without consulting him atleast once about something.

We must locate the aussie known as "Ian" and torcher him into talking. Bamboo splinters under the toe nails and all that. He'll squeal LPG like... something that squeals very quickly.

IJ did a tremendous amount of research and work on an LPG 7M. He made over 500hp if I remember right. He has invested large amounts of time, money, and effort into high HP LPG setups. He would be an invaluable resource to consult on this project. I'm sure he could point you in a positive direction and keep you from making some costly mistakes.

It'll be interesting to see how this project turns out.

Cool project. I'm liking the idea of a 4 cylinder supra more and more every time I see one. Some guy on SF is building an A70 chassis powered by a 3S/5S with a beams 6-speed. Looking forward to seeing both of these cars run.

oic, thanx for looking out.
I'm pretty comfortable with the propane thing. I am new to this board, so mainly only a few local guy's know who i am. I use to work for gotpropane.com, and i have a few BBQ juice powered vehicles. One is a Toyota rock crawler 22ret, which i got up to 350 hp (stock internals didnt' last long, and now are forged) and a 41 chevy truck rat rod 435hp 383 that has a dual fuel kit on it. Upcoming propane projects will be a 1969 LandCruiser w/ a 450hp 7m (aka SupraCruiser) and another rat rod truck that will have a 1UZ shooting for 650-700 hp.
I love propane, it's just so simple and easy to do.

what kind of mpg they get?

obviously it depends on your foot.....a good rule of thumb is it will get same mileage as a carbureted set up, or a 9/10 ratio if it were EFI

mileage really isn't the reason to go propane, our off road truck run at crazy angles and the simplicity of only one wire
