Can't really say since i haven't seen a picture of it on a car yet. But IMO it might look a little bit too modern.

Knowing VIS quality, and judging from the busy-as-fuck ebay picture, I will reserve judgment until I see it mounted. The idea is great, I'm just not sure of the execution.

I'm not a fan of VIS anymore as there has been a few people i know had really bad experiences with their service and products.

You know the sad thing supraguy? I've SEEN Corvette Summer. :nono:

I think this is a rehash of a thread that popped up recently though... perhaps it was in one of the vendor threads. Personally speaking, I like the idea, but I'd have to see it on a car. If it has a radiator vent, it might be worth looking into. Kinda reminds me of the aftermarket hood that was pretty popular with the FD guys a few years back...

I'm not a fan of this particular hood. Protrusions jutting up from the surface of the hood around the overly swept vents, which are completely separate from one another. It's too overdone/ricey as far as the design goes. There is, however, another vented hood available from carbon creations that is very similar but the vents are more straight and looks great on the car IMO. It is available on ebay for $479. Search "supra hood" on there. Don't know how to post links or I would post it up for the rest of the community to see.

The design is pretty close to Top Secret Hood...couple of us socal members will check this thing out for our selves (quality and fitment). Lets here some more opinions and maybe we can talk to them for a great deal (GB).

There aren't any protrusions...

Ok, Ok. So maybe not Protrusions so much as sharp edges, but its still ugly. When I saw it before the window was smaller so the details were a little different looking. It almost looked like the vents were angled up ABOVE the rest of the hood. I see it isn't so after closer inspection.

Before I noticed your post, I was thinking about Decepticons, after I saw the VIS hood.

The only commonality that this VIS hood and the Top Secret hood seems to have is that they both have 6 vents.

The Top Secret hood vents
1. are less angled compared to the VIS hood.
2. are cut-outs on perpendicular plane, relative to the hood (The VIS hood vents are cut-outs horizontal to the hood.)

After careful observation of the V-shaped cowl and a vent design of the VIS hood, I give it a :thumbsdow. Who knows, it might look nice once it's installed on a nicely "all around" executed car. :dunno:
