New but old

Hi guys, i've been out of the loop for about a year now and i miss the supra scene and i want to start fresh. So ill start by introducing myself. My name is Andrew and im 19. I own a 1988 supra, bone stock with the exception of rims. This has been my first car since i bought it in 2009 for $100 and i love it to death. Unfortunately it has never been reliable for me. Matter of fact i just had to put it on storage insurance yesterday. Ill put more about that in other threads for i have many questions. Everyone thinks i should sell it but i know the minute i do ill regret it and i just cant part with it. Heres a list of everything ive done to it....
  • 3 engine rebuilds
  • 1 transmission swap (With a transmission from a turbo car from Davis)
  • new tires
  • new brake hoses all around
  • new front callipers
  • new rotors all around
  • new shocks all around (stock no TEM's)
  • fog light rewire
  • wired my tail lights to bypass the tail light failure sensor
  • new window motors
  • new Rack and pinion
  • new power steering pump
  • Block was machined on first rebuild
  • valve seals, head bolts replaced on 3rd rebuild
  • new power steering pump
  • new water pump
All this work and its still having issues mainly due to the unreliability of the transmission which i percieve as over working the engine. But i love my car and i cant see myself without it..... .so for now it sits until I can save the money to fix it. I am glad to be back to this community and im really excited to learn more about these amazing cars. Thanks for reading guys!!!!:icon_bigg
