Has anyone ever seen this sticker before? I haven't. JJ I quoted you, hope you don't mind.

I vote chop or restickered.

FWIW, the 88 manual reads:
OCTANE RATING
Select Research Octane No. 91 (Octane Rating 87) or higher. For improved vehicle performance, the use of Premium unleaded gasoline with a Research Octane No. of 96 (Octane Rating 91) or higher is recommended.

That same sticker came with my new HKS catback years ago. It was supposed to be installed on the inside of your fuel fill door.

Quote away Ken, no problem here. Not that it'll matter because SF is as moron infested as forums come. As for octane use what's needed. Myself, I've got far better things to spend my duckets on...
If it takes ten american dollars to make sixty five Botswana Pulas, and it takes ten canadian dollars to make fourty five Croatian Kunas, how many Pakistani Rupees does it take to make one ducket.......:biglaugh:

:biglaugh:.......I knew there was a method to your madness, but I couldn't find a ducket. I figured it was some sort of military word.

I've always used 93 in all 3 of my supras i've had.

Is there a reason you like to run the highest you can find?

Heh, I've got a few Austrian ducats in my hand right now.

I run the highest I can find as well...

It's cheap insurance against blowing the engine considering how hot it gets here and how hard I beat on tha car on a daily basis...

Every MK4/2JZ powered cars (Lexus) i've seen has a premium unleaded fuel only sticker. ;)
Even the 3SGTE powered celica and MR2 say that.

The MK3 just says unleaded fuel only everywhere. :)

Oh trust me, there's a point where it's just stupid (same goes for running too low); costs you more per mile and costs you power and gives you higher EGTs. Many people here and on SF own condos in this little wonder world.

It's a blanket statement... They're covering their asses. Can't have someone driving a car which was shipped to and sold in Denver driving it in California with 83 - 85 octane fuel, while being 2 quarts low on oil.

Are you sure about that?

My manual says 92+. The sticker inside the fuel door says 92+. And I thought there was a sticker on the interior somewhere (not on the gauge cover plastic though) that said 92+.

I've always run higher than stock boost on my supras, so that's why i used 93. I still would run 93 on a stock boosted supra as well just for peace of mind just in case i spiked or something. Ive heard of ignitions pinging on some 7m's that ran 87 so i never took the chance running 87 or 89 in any of my cars.
