Needed -- Tips for solid engine performance

New to the Supra world. Looking to build a new engine for my 89GTE. Any comments on the engine and head overhaul kits that are available from Suprastore.com? The components seem to be quality, but it's been a long time since I built an engine -- and that was a domestic.

Looking to net in the 350 to 450 HP range. The engine in the car is a JDM engine with approx 50,000 miles on it. Before I take the boost up I'd like to know that the bottom and top end are OK. The engine appears to be healthy right now. Not burning any oil. Mileage is 25-27 mpg on the 800 mile drive home from buying the car. Head gasket is original. Body has 135K miles. on it. A340E tranny was rebuilt approx 18,000 miles ago when the engine was replaced, although I'm not sure how many horses it will take. Shifter is a bit sloppy, but it feels strong when accelerating.

BTW...IJ is one of the really old school guys here. Take a look at his build thread if you want to see a monster 7M motor (grab a beer...you'll be a while).

keep in mind the suprastore bottom end kit doesnt include a crank :wtf: so if you buy from them you have to get your crank somewhere else. they didnt really want to help me too much sent them a message a while back asking if they had any performance cranks and if not where i could find one and a week later got a reply saying we donrt have any performance cranks for the 7m, but no reply on where to find one.
