needa Good/Quietish muffler 3" inlet

as the title says. anyone know not a deep Muffler that has 3" inlet that dosnt sound like dirt at WoT. im putting 3" exhaust on my supra and the sherrif came over to my house yesterday and complained about my STock exhaust with some ghetto muffler(Extremely loud) my supra had when i bought it a year and so ago. anyone know of a good Quiet muffler??? LMK thanks guys ( dont really wanna run a Silencer in any muffler i buy)

i've got a flowmaster dual-tip on mine and it's suprisingly quiet above 2500RPM...there's a drone in the cabin from 2K to 2.5K, but after that it's just that low pitch growl like music to the ears. My N/A had an obnoxious tip that sounded pretty ricey, so the difference is like night and day.

i dont know because i dont have a exhaust on my car yet but they say that the n1 with a silencer sounds real quiet but under wot sounds awesome... i made a thread a little bit back about the diff between the apexi and megan and really everyone says just go with the megan n1 and its only 79 bucks

i'm running a magnaflow. 3in inlet with dual 2.5in outlet. looks stockish. and the best part is you can look straight through it, no bafelles(i dont know how to spell baffel). real deep sound. my parents dont like it but whatever. some on this site claim that after switching from a flowmaster to a magnaflow that they hit f/c.

straight pipe is going to be loud no matter what 3" you use.

i'd say get a Magnaflow or Borla XR1 for your main muffler, but i'd suggest running something as a presilencer with it to appease the cops.

You must live in a small town. If the sherriff came to my house and knew who I was I'd probably be scared to even start my car without the fear of being watched.
Magnaflow FTW, doesn't look like a big rice trash can so it will keep you out of the cops eyes usually. as far as sound, Diabolical's right, full 3" will be loud unless you get a silencer of some type.

i say not necasarilly but if your gonna say fuck sound ordinances you might as well don it.... which is why instead of wiatingt for the RS*R exhaust i just ordered the JIC bullet... heard it on Brent's car, btw you'll get pics.. when it shows up.

Where did you order your RSR from? I think thats what I'm going to get, been shopping I found one for $439.

I've heard this first hand on a 7mgte'd mk2, its great for what you need...just keep your foot from getting floor happy and you'll be fine...at low and mid rpm and partial throttle its a pretty growl...but unleash it at high rpm and wot...and she lets you know whats going on....not deafening..but pleasantly loud....also...they're less expensive than all these import brands

Yeah...I was riding with the same guy on Friday...it sounds great. I have the same setup yet to be installed in my car. I can't wait now!

If you whant quiet stay away from the RSR with out the silencer tip it is extreamly loud! I know because i use to have one now I got the HKS super dragger it is a bit more money but worth every penny.
