everytime when i shift from first to second and sometimes second to third my engine cuts out for a second any ideas why that would happen?it also happens more when the engine is cold than when it is warmed up but idk whats going on need opinions

Do you have a blow off valve vented to atmosphere? What mods do you have?

i just got the car it was originally a turbo but they swapped a na in it and there are no mods other than an aftermarket cold air intake

The Turbo didn't have either compressor wheel or turbine wheel & no wastegate actuator. You know what really grinds my gears? You America! Fuck you!!! LMAO Sounds like maybe the fuel pump... I remember hearing the fuel pump without the 12v mod had two steps or something like that and maybe it is possible yours only picks up on the higher end, AKA on throttle... Does it stall at idle at all?
also it idles at about 1.5k when cold and about 5- 800 when warmed up it has died while idling a couple times but that is rare
