Well after this summer's worth of building the motor and all, I have had it running for about 2 weeks now. Although I still have a few bugs that I would like to work out so I turn to my fellow supra owners. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I was driving on the interstate just cruising and all of a sudden my speedo stopped working, so I was like,"HMM 19 year old speedo cable what do I expect." So I put another one on that I took off of a parts car I have and it worked, later on that day on the highway, it then stops again. I have no idea but I am guessing the problem is elsewhere other than the cable itself. Any ideas?
Everytime I start up my car, I hear this screetch, I am guessing the belt is to tight or loose. Sometimes squeaks when driving also, but very rarely. ?????
Now, there is the black circular piece on the back of the tranny where the DS enters into. That piece is rotating at low speeds, but when I get up to speed, it will lock in place and the clinging will then stop. ?????
Alright one last problem for now anyways. I am guessing valve lash but here it goes. There is a ticking in the RPM range. Follows the rev of the motor. Havent got around to getting a mechanics stethoscope but it is definately from the front of the motor. I did get a radius valve jobso maybe the problem lies there? Please see what you guys can do, Any help or advice would be fantastic! THX A LOT GUYS!
