need some help

hey guys, i did a little bit of research but i couldnt find the answer i was looking for. hopefully someone on here can help me out. I recently bought a 7mgte and i got the wire harness and ecu with it...but the harness had a few clips cut off of it. Im at work right now so i cant post a picture of MY harness. but i found a picture from someone trying to sell their harness. Also..the old 7mgte that i had used grey connectors to the ecu..this ecu has yellow along with the harness. just wondering if someone could distinguish the two for me. its going to be going into a 89 targa with a r154. im looking to find out what these plugs go to and possibly a wiring diagram for them so i find the clips and get it rewired. thanks in advance.

Grey plug harness is '89+, yellow plug is '88-

If you use a yellow plug engine harness with the grey plug chassis harness (Like your '89 has) then you will have an issue with the headlights wanting to be on all the time, and the ABS connectors don't work together, but everything else is fine. (I have an '87T engine and harness in my '89NA) There is a fix for the headlights (Move one pin on the harness, don't remember now which one, or I just re-wired the line from the headlight relay to the #1 integration relay.) You'll also need to mount the HAC sensor, since the '89 didn't have one before, but the provision for it is still there.

hmmm.... i wonder if i should just sell the yellow plug harness and ecu and get a grey plug harness for the 89+ecu that i have then. just make things easier

Anyone know where I can buy those clips? My local Toyota dealership doesn't have them and can't order them anymore
