is there any way to fix this? any way around it?
thanks.

Verizon locks serial numbers of phones that have been stolen. So congrats on supporting a thief.

Even if you unlock the phone, I'm not sure Sprint will even allow it to be activated.

I wouldn't say that you are screwed yet... go check out Howard Forums and see what you can't find there...

I have hacked every single phone I have ever owned, and it is all thanks to that forum. But I must say, I have no experience with that phone.. but there is a possibility that you can alter the serial, or reset the phone to where it can be activated with any company.

It is worth doing some research on if you spent that many bones on it.

Steps to follow immediately:

  1. File a PayPal claim, report that you recieved stolen goods.
  2. If you paid via postal money order, or mailed a payment, file a mail fraud complaint with the USPS: http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx
  3. Go to http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/ and file a complaint. This is the FBI, so be sure all data you provide is 100% accurate.

Don't mess around with this. You are in receipt of stolen property. If you hack that phone, you become guilty. You know it's stolen, you've been informed of it, you have no excuse if you get busted using it.
