ok I'm really stuck, I've been searching for 3 weeks now and not having any luck. Printed off lots and lots of 1JZ wiring diagrams went through the pile and kept what I thought I needed. Here is the problem, I have a front clip from a JZX90 (Chaser,Mark II...) I have the complete wiring harness pulled from the clip and started working on dumping all the ABS and TRC crap that I don't need. I go to start tracing the wires on the on the ECU and find that none of the pin outs on the P16 or P28 match up with any of the PINOUT diagrams that I have. I've been banging my head on this for 4 days now and need to know if I just retarded or I really don't have the pinouts for the right ECU. Everything that I'm finding on other forums are for the Supra (JZA70) or something else or say use the Jzz30 diagram for the JZX90. Yeah, not so much. My Goal here is to have the thing in Running Mock-up for my 30th B-Day Sept. 3rd. At this point it's not going to happen, but I want it to Fire up by then.

Main diagrams that I started with were:

All the Wiring diagrams that I have are here, I haven't gone and re-named them correctly but these were found all over the net someone else may benefit from them:

Damn it:

i don't have any experience with the jzz30 harness, but with my aristo/jza70 harness', i just traced each wire using the 3-page EFI diagram, and ran them to their appropriate pin.

i'm curious, why do you need to find where every wire goes? why not just lengthen it wire for wire, then trace back the TRAC and ABS plugs and remove those wires?

The color's/Pinouts on the ECU are not matching any of the EFI diagrams that I'm finding.

not tracing every wire just the ECU because none of the pin positions match what I have. I have a non vvti 1jz from a jzx90. the ECU sat in the center console in the JZX90 so I don't even have to lengthen the harness.

Dude that pinout you posted is right. I do jzx90 swaps all the time it's super easy.

I'm still confused on the 2nd to bottom row on the 28 pin plug and the bottom row i see B+ and B+1 in the diag, and only B+ on my ECU and the Diagram shows only 2 pins on the 2nd to bottom row, but my ECU has like 6. Also 16 pin plug I see where the E1 is on the diagram, nothing in that position on my ECU. I don't know if I'm just making it harder than it is, or what. The other thing is that I'm swapping the Gauge cluster in as well and am paranoid to cut the wrong thing out. like I said, need to know if I'm retarded or not.

You know I had a friend coem up with the same thing on his x90 stuff. All 2nd gen 1j ecu have a +b and +b1 no matter what. iirc on jzx90 they are weird colors like green/orange.

Whats the part number on your ecu?

I'll grab the Part number when I get home from work today, I'm still working on cutting out the ABS/TRC stuff so I'll be working on it tonight. let me know if better pictures would help.

94+ JZZ30 does not have +B1, only pre 94. This info is from factory Toyota diagrams.

I removed +B1 when I got my 95 ecu (91 setup originally), and she runs fine...

OMG that's for vvti version right? I've never seen a TT ecu without a +b1

Don't know about vvti, but definatly 94.1 to 96.8 non-vvti.

The ecu still has the pin for the plug, but the wire is not connected to the plug, and I assume it does nothing inside the ecu. I removed it on my harness for fear of damaging my new ecu, and it runs fine.

ok, part number on the ECU is 89661-22620 the other number on the ECU under the barcode is 175700-6451.

Also, just to make sure. The motor is from a JZX90 and is 1JZGTTE - NON VVTI - I still have the clip at my house so I can get info off the identification plate if needed.

Wow good to know about the later model ecu. Since it's x90 my money is on +b1 still attached to outside. It looks like it wouldnt really matter anyhow. I'm sure an older ecu would run it fine anyhow. Weird toyota would do that.

Btw, whats with having the whole dash harness out? It seems like you're making this harder than it needs to be. I made a post about wiring it into a cressida. I know youre a70 but the stuff I wrote up is all it needs to run fine.

It could help:
