Need opinion on a color scheme

my 89 is white, and i was thinking of ditching the 3 piece wing, and getting a black hood, targa, and i already have a black hatch, and leaving the rest of the body white. Question is do you think this would look hot or ugly? Also any body have some input on putting the 4.30 rear end into my 89, i have 2 cars and the Supra is kind of going to be my daily driver kinda not, when the season comes i am going to start racing and thats mainly what i want it for but i do occasionaly take 20mile freeway trips here and there. My mechanic and people i work with said that is too steep for daily driving but if it really is then why is it in the NA?

Portland Oregon, i pretty sure im going to take off the wing for weight reduction and it doesnt fit right because the black hatch i have is obviously not stock, but how about the rest of the car?

I don't think it would look too good, but I'm one that only really likes cars that are one solid color. At least something like that would be somewhat easily reversible if you plan on geting a seperate hood and targa.

4.30 isn't all that great on the highway, but I drive my N/A everyday and it isn't something that is so awful that you can't deal with it. I regulary take trips on the highway that are over an hour long and it really isn't an issue for me.

keep it comin. i'll have to see how much they want for the hood and targa and if its not to much i might just give it a shot, worst case scenario i can sell them back to someone else.

Do a nice fade up from white to Black. Or better yet. Do some radical stripes down the side to split the white from the black.

I agree with Justin on this. You shou'ld break it up with a pinstrip or something custom sho it doesn't look like such a drastic change. Chrome would be perfect for the pin strip

if i knew how to use the almight photoshop i'd show ya. i just got the best mental image in my head and I have no way to scan it even if i draw it. that gives me a swell idea on my next mk3 possibly. Gonna finish mine before i paint another..

im thinkin i might just do the hood and headlight covers, but not the targa anymore and possibly ditch the wing thats barely on there. i'll wait to see what that photoshop looks like. Anybody have a pic of an 89 without the wing? not sure if that would look stupid or not.

give me a pic of an 89 with ot with out the wing in white. I could PS it off the car if it has a wing. I just need a few good angle to work with to give it a better effect of what it will look like in real life

At my car domain site you can see my car a white 89 N/A without the wing and with my new used 86 firebird wing. I am painting the wing to match the charcoal gray trim and my wheels that are already painted with rustoleum hammered black which seems to match the original trim color.
