I am buying a turbo tomorrow (tuesday) and I KNOW THAT I SHOULD SEARCH FIRST and i have. I want to make 500hp, and I want to buy a kit so i dont have to search for parts. My question is this. I am looking at Lipp, greddy, garrett, boss and turbonetics. Is there any I should stay away from?
And its confusing because some sites say for example : Lipp (to4e) or (gt 66) is that the flange style? I though t4 was turbonetics and gt was a garrett product?
Just want some opinions on cheapest place to buy and the best kit for under $2000 (because i have to buy supporting mods as well) that will support 500hp.

P.S. I dont want to upgrade turbo. Also i want something that will adapt to my downpipe as well. They all say they come with adapters for manifold....nothing about DP.

Thanks for your time!!!!:icon_bigg

u cant just buy a kit that will go up to 500hp on a mk3... i dont know if you can get it under 2k either... you need a good starting platform depending on the cars shape...

best bet for 500hp is going maft pro thats around 500-600 depending on what you extras you get.. 550's should be good enough and a walbro fpr and then idk what turbo to get.. and there is no dp that will fit the bigger turbos you need to custom make that

I'd get one of the kits from Horsepower Freaks. Call 'em up, tell them your goals, they can map out the products you need and sell kits to help you get there.

The other option is to wait until someone here is parting a good setup - Doc Jonez sold a KICK ASS setup a while back, for instance, and scoop it.
