I worked at a ranch in Colorado last year (I live in Alabama). While I was there, I took a bunch of photos (I was hired as a wrangler, not as a photographer; the photos were not part of the job). I framed one of the prints and gave it to the ranch and put it in their office.

Fast forward a year, I find out that they are printing business cards with my photo across the front, and they never asked for my permission to do so.

Do I have a case against him, and how should I go about it? I'm bringing it up here because I don't have the funds to hire a lawyer at this point.

Instead of contacting a lawyer, why dont you contact the ranch, if it bothers you? That would be a good place to start.

Did you put a watermark or signature or anything on the pic? But yeah you should contact the ranch.

Did you register your photo with the US copyright office? I have had my pictures ripped off by many people all over the internet....some random ranch using your picture on a business card (albeit annoying) is small potatoes. I'm sure they could find a $5 replacement picture for their card on istock in less than 5 minutes.
