Need help to begin troubleshooting multiple issues

I have recently purchased my dream car (or damn close) a 1989 Supra turbo. It's beautiful, if a little clunky right now.

As far as I know the engine is completely stock - I have recently replaced the Struts/springs with an Eibach pro kit and Kyb GR2s

There are a couple of things going on I'm not too sure how to start figuring out. I'm an engineering technician, and I'm used to troubleshooting, so I know the process, but I just don't have enough knowledge yet to know where to start.

I have an occasional low idle - usually when the car has *just* warmed up, or when I start it after it sits for 20 minutes or so. I have searched for (and found) this issue, but not sure what to make of the advice that was given. Usually if I rev the engine a few times when it idles low, the idle comes back to about 750rpm. When it idles low after running for a while (seldom), it runs smoothly at 500rpm, I just need to blip the gas before engaging the clutch to avoid stalls, otherwise no problems.

This suggests to me that it's likely running too rich? But I just don't know, and I'm not sure how to test it.

The second issue is three warning lights come on intermittently (always together); handbrake, tail lights, battery. I know this usually indicates alternator problems, but it's new, and my battery stays charged. If someone could link a picture of where to test with a multimeter (I might be able to figure it out, but...) I can test the charging when it comes up again. Extra info - when these lights are on, the cruise won't work - the light comes on to say it's on, but the car will coast to a stop. Any suggestions on what to test first (and/or links to instructions)?

There is also a rattle (this one is a shot in the dark) in the upper rear passenger side - but not constant. It sounds like it's coming from behind the rear seat belt hanger. Any ideas?

Links to info are appreciated - I know these are issues that have come up before, and I have searched - sometimes the info assumes a little too much car knowledge - I'm very new to working on cars, so clarification or starting points is what I'm really looking for.

Thanks!

Update - in case anyone has similar trouble - the sound I was hearing was a great deal like a broken rear strut mount on the passenger side - turned out to be the exhaust hitting the heat shield.

The exhaust is on the wrong side of the car, but the heat shield mounts are rusted almost right out on my car (welder I had fix the rusted wheel well just welded a piece on top :( ) and is touching the gas tank - the sound was transmitted through the tank, up the filler pipe and sounded EXACTLY like it was coming from the right rear strut.

I bent the heat shield a bit, and viola! noise gone.

Haven't had a chance to check for codes - I sanded off the grime on the ground point between the rear tail lights and the lights are coming on much, much less and for a very short time only.

Cheers!
