I recently had some bad luck at an exhaust shop. They had just built a downpipe on my car and put it back together. When they did this they left the O2 wiring on the turbo and I didnt see it.

When I was driving on the highway, I assume that the wiring started to burn through. It felt like I was hitting fuel cut and I could not apply any throttle.
I pulled off the highway and looked around the engine bay. I didnt see anything obvious so I tried to limp it home.

The problem persisted and eventually the car wouldnt hold a steady idle. It would rev between 400 and 1200 RPM at idle. Very soon after that, the car shut off and would not start again. I had the car towed home and started to look for problems.

I immidiately found the burned through wiring for the O2 sensor. So I was able to get one off a friend temporarily and will be getting a new one later. Once that was installed, the car would not turn over. This had happened before and I had never had the time to change it. I replaced the CPS due to an intermittent connection.

Now the car turns over fine but doesnt fire. So I pulled all the plugs to see if they were fouled. They were quite black so I cleaned them up and re-installed. Tried to start again...turns over fine, doenst fire.

So I checked the fuses. Found the EFI fuse is blown. Replaced that, turned over, fired, runs like SHIT. Very choppy idle. So I loosened the CPS with the car running and adjusted it up and down. Both ways it wounded like shit.

I need your opinions. I think that when I installed the CPS, I installed it one tooth off or something like that. I had never doen it before, so I tried to line it up with the one I took off.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jamie
