long story short.....
i had what i thought was an engine noise, kind of sounded like rod knock. i narrowed it down to the power steering pump. with the p/s belt off the noise would go away, so i ordered a reman one.
skip to today. i hear a lighter metallic clunking sound. when i looked under the hood the crank pulley seemed to be wobbling. i found the crank pulley bolt finger tight.
can i just tighten the bolt and go on my way? do i need to pull the pulley off and check it?
also, how do you get the bolt to 190 ft lbs?
i think the loose bolt may have been the noise all along, but i need to get it tightened to make sure.
