Need help: High pitch scream from drivers side

Im not sure if this has been discussed but I have a really high pitch scream/noise from under the hood on the drivers side. I checked a lot of things but I just cant seem to figure it out. At first it only happened at starting at 3500 rpm and up at open throttle. The noise is linear and only under load. Now power is being robbed and happens all the time at half throttle starting at 2500 rpm. Im getting boost but after 4000 power just drops off. Could it be an alternator pully bearing. I checked the turbo but its fine. All belts are taught. Maybe perhaps a leak in my IC hose, I dont know. Please help. I figured I ask the pros on this one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I got this once by using a IC pipe coupler that was the wrong size by a 1/4". It was a constant leak which sounded almost like a whistle. That being said, a small but constant leak could sound the same. But you say its coming from the drivers side? Unless maybe you have an FFIM?

I know you said it was on the drivers side, but have you checked the turbo to exhaust manifold, the four nuts sometimes work loose and the exhaust gases escaping make a screaming noise.

Sounds to me like a possible boost leak.

Check the boost connections and the nipple on the back of the intake mani. Its known to whistle quite nicely.

Yeah, Manifold > Turbo, make sure all 4 bolts are tight. It happened to me before. It gets this wicked loud scream/screetch.

I've had the same problem too in the past. Turned out to be an exhaust manifold leak.

If so check your ISC valve I had the same problem.

maybe you sucked your cat into the intake, and when you boost, he's holding on for dear life. i sure wouldn't want to get sucked into the combustion chamber...

First thing I would do is check that the fan belt is tight.

but seriously, check the coupler between the 3000 pipe and the TB.
