ok i have the biggest yet smallest problem i thaught i could ever have. i ordered a set of those clear turnsignals not side markers from suprastore.com. i got them and they look sweet as hell except i cannot get my stock signals off. there is on screw on the panel side of the signal that i took off and that makes the turn signal come out an inch but where the black grille is it is like stuck.... i opened the hood and took of the black cover to the headlights so i could have some hand room and i searched high and low for a screw or bolt or anything and i didnt see it. i need to put these on.
the kit i ordered just comes with the one screw to replace the one off the corner of each signal...... i am so confused. pics really needed.
also i saw like a latch thing on the inside of the grill and i unlatched it and it moved the grille a little bit but now the grill is sitting half an inch infront of the turn signal and everything is screwed back in but the grille wont move.:icon_mad:
thanks everyone

You will need to remove the "grill" sections that run along the same line as the signal lights. There is a small screw holding those on, that is tricky to reach from behind them (where the power steering cooler runs). Remove those, them you will have exposed another screw that holds the signals on. If you look at your new ones, you will see a "slot" of sorts on the side that would go behind those little grills... that's where the screw is at.

But like I said, U need to remove the little grill pieces to get to that screw. I was much easier in the pre-89 models to kinda "reach-thru," but not on the 89+....

Good luck,
E

OH!!! By he way!!! Take pictures along the way... to make a quick write-up... I'll write it up for you if you want, but I already did mine and forgot to take pics... Thanx!!

Also... that screw that holds the grill has a washer behind it. Be careful not to lose the washer... someone lost mine before and there was a nut there, instead of the washer.

The grilles have screws? in both my '89s I've had neither of them had screws holding the grilles in. They just snap in and out.

Yep the grills, are held on with screws. They are the kind that screw into the clip caps that widen as you tighten. But, if you dont have the screws itll still clip well with the base.
