need help from AAP motor mount owners

Hey guys, I just came home from dropping my motor into my 90T and i am using AAPs semi-solid motor mounts, and we got it all in and it fits, but the oil pan is like 1/8 of an inch from the power-steering rack and all that other crap, is this the way its supposed to be? are the mounts that stiff that it wont hit stuff when the motor is running? if you guys have any pictures you could post that'd be great. thanks

1/8th inch? I don't think there is any way in hell they will be stiff enough to prevent it from hitting.

Just for reference my hand guage says I have about 3/4 inch.

I have no issues with mine. It's fairly tight, but I haven't noticed any contact and wouldn't trade them for anything.

Here's a thought...Contact AAP about it as it's their part. Maybe they will have some insight. After all, if they make and sell them they probably know more about them than anyone.

That's strange to hear, Justin. I don't think that it will contact the rack, and even if it does, it will be mild to barely anything so I personally wouldn't worry. Hope you get it figured out man! Let me know if you have any problems and I'll do my best to help you out.
