on the way to work yesterday, my car rpm would drop every time i stepped on the gas. had to pull over and leave the car. i get back after work and check the codes and its codes 21 and 31, but the car drives fine afterwards. cleared the codes to see if it would happen again and now when i try to drive the car jerks around 2000 rpm or if i try to accelerate somewhat fast. checked the codes again and its just code 31 now..

**UPDATE**
i replaced the AFM sensor with another used one from the forum. it worked fine for a day but the next it was the same thing... it feels like fuel cuts at around 2200 and it was running super rich, halmeter was to the edge and i could smell the unburnt gas.

could this be another bad AFM sensor? or should i look at something else?

Unplug your AFM, and plug it back in; if you're lucky, it's just a bad connection.
If you're unlucky, it may be a bad AFM.

no luck unplugging and plugging... is it possible to just the sensor without the pipe??? i called my local toyata dealer and they only sell it as a whole for almost $900?? i even called local kragen and autozone and they cant even get it...

but also, i just noticed these 2 plugs under the AFM, can someone tell me what they're for or if they should be plugged somewhere?

Those have nothing to do with your code 31.

1 iirc is for a a/c temp switch on certain cars and idk what the other is for. Neither are used on most cars.
