Need help choosing

I want to do a R154 5 speed conversion on my 88 turbo, but I want to know if I can use a 86-87 ecu and can I also use a 89-92. Does the wiring harness has to be for R154 or can I use W58 harness?

For the manual transmissions, there is no harness. Only wires are for ABS sensor if you have it, and the switch for the backup lights.

You can use any manual transmission with any harness, even an automatic harness.
