OK!

here we go!

First of all, what are your power goals? Im sure you want a moderate amount of power, if so look into a cometic head gasket, dont cheap out! Also i STRONGLY reccomend that you get new head hardware while replacing the HG. ARP's are awesome hardware!

Second, have you considered converting your car to turbo? Thats what im going through right now. Basically you get the turbo, manifold, electronics and associated parts and bolt them up to your engine. This is called NA-T. A NA-T supra will make a considerably more power than a 7mgte from the factory. This is because of the higher compression, better flowing intake manifold and better cams!

You own a Toyota Supra. Don't cheap out!

O and my names William, whats your name?

He said it at the beginning of his post.:stickpoke :D

Oh yeah, you'll make more power cause of higher compression but you'll probably want to retard your timing if you're going to NA-T, or run premium gas, or both if you want to run decent levels of boost.

EDIT: Also, a lot of questions can be answered with search. Most newer forum members don't try to search and it gets older ones aggrivated when they see obvious questions that could have been searched for.

also should i just buy a 7mgte cuz car has 184,000 miles.

Well, you can do ALOT with 4 grand! And purchasing a 7mgte doesn't garentee it has low miles either!

Look at the rabid chimp motor. They come FULLY built!

or just build your own motor!

Start searching!

only have $4k to spend

Spend it learning about your car.

Do not do anything until you understand exactly what your doing. Read, soak up, and just familiarize yourself with information about your Supra. That is what you should do first. Then, once you understand it all, start putting things together.

Take your time... you have many more years to enjoy your car.

DUDE, I don't think your getting it/ Take some social jesture or direction and do what you are hearing wich is seek it out. By any means neccessary. Run a search for everything. Everyone does what you have done here and will is grumpy anyhow. Supramania is a more technical site than say...., The supra forums of horse power freaks. You'll learn more here if you just sign in and read. I have been a member for a while, and don't have many posts because I stick to the na section. Turbo's are on a different playing field than we are. Just think out your questions a lot more before you ask any. Welcome.
