ok just two days ago i switched from the N/A intake manifold back to the Turbo Manifold on my 7M-GTE, did this cuz a few people said to switch back to it, so i did. got it all changed out and everything connected and all, the only thing i did was redo the CPS position. now tho im not getting any spark whatsoever, ive redone the CPS bout 4 times now, checked the wiring, but still nothing, the thing thats confusing me is that it ran 4 days ago with the N/A intake manifold on (albeit running at 3000rpms) and now that i switched it out and redid the position on the CPS, i now get nothing whatsoever, there are no vaccum leaks or anything like that, i have one broken sensor on the water thing coming off the head, but i still get nothing whatsoever. i really need some help cuz i set to dyno this weekend and id really like for my car to be running for it, any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

first of all, did you remove the CPS from the head? if so, you'll need to re-set base timing.

if you didnt: check the 7.5 amp IGN fuse in the driver's kick panel. if that's blown, you wont get spark. ;)

if you did remove the CPS, read on:

set the crank pulley to 0*, and make sure the cam gears are also at 0*. (alligned with the notches on the back cover, just behind them) (if the cam gears are at 0* the crank should also be, unless you removed the timing belt, as well)

once base timing is set to 0*, it's time to install the CPS correctly. here's the best way to do it, you'll have to click the link at the top of the page:

http://www.jblmk3.com/id92.htm

after you set the CPS in correctly, you must set Ignition timing. leave the CPS bolt hand tight, or a little tighter, put the timing light pickup coil on #6 spark plug wire, and attach the positive and negative alligator clips to the battery. then have a friend (or you can do it, it's just easier with two people, though i prefer to do things like this myself) turn the CPS until the notch on the crank pulley is at 10* before top dead center. (you can see the embossment on the front of the timing cover)

good luck!

Also, if you did change the manifolds, you may have undone the ground wires (brown and white, total of 4, paired 2 and 2) on the bottom of the mani. These have to be grounded or the car won't spark.

understood completely, hit at the same time..sorry i was alittle tipsy that night. i guess cause my plastic coil-pack cover is no longer on the engine. its easier to use #1 as the wires is lookin right at ya...
