need computer help!!

so i am computer stupid. bare with me. i have an HP model a1510n. using windows xp.
so here's the deal. there is a slot in the face of the computer where i can stick my sd card. i think it is called "removable f" in the "my computer" thing. anyway, today i put the sd card in the slot, and clicked my computer so i could look at the pictures that are on the memory card. i can't find the icon to click to look at the pictures on the sd card. it's not there anymore. where is it?!?!?
i had company last week and they fucked with the settings on my tv, my xbox360, and my computer. need help tonight.
any ideas on how to get that little "disc drive icon" back????:1zhelp: :1zhelp:

Try a reboot, then put the SD carb back in, and see if it finds it.

Short of that, go to my pictures in my documents, and find it there. (Should be listed as a drive option.)

My multi drive has the "g" drive as the SD slot, in the many cards o dapter.

I've had issues occasionally with flash memory drives not showing up when plugged in. Usually just unplugging them and plugging them back in a few times gets them to show up.

I had a multi-card reader that died on me once though, so that's a possibility too.
