I was hoping I could find someone somewhat local that would help me with a gte swap in my na 89. (Just want to rering and put new bearings in the gte and call it a daily for a while longer.)
The story is I just got offered a parts turbo supra not sure on year yet but he said he'd give it to me for like 200$ I have no room to put the car for more than a cpl days if I do get it because I already have a cpl too many cars as it is.
If it is possible I would like to have an at least somewhat experienced supra mechanic to help me because I would like it to be done right the first time. Not that I don't know what I'm doing... In the process of a 5.0 swap into a b2200 for fun... no it won't be bagged and that. Anyhow if anyone wouldl ike to help me out starting time frame would be probably in a cpl months or so.

I think you been Poking to much smot! First you want somebody local to "in your car".........and then you can only keep the car a couple of days, but you want to start in a couple of months. It would do you good to post where you are!

How are you planning on doing it in such a short amount of time?

If you re-ring, you need to re-hone, which means machine work

Well i'm in Sequim WA but that doesn't matter as long as it's within like 2 hours = seattle area. My car I get to keep obviously, the parts car can only be kept a couple of days if I put it in my yard, there is a new ordinance saying that all vehicles in your yard must run or else you have to have them towed which is quite fucking rediculous so I'm in the process of towing away 2 vehicles and would rather not deal with the hassle of the police knocking on my door for something so incredibly dumb.

I want to get the swap portion done within a couple days, not the engine build I can build the engine in my own garage thats the easy part if you ask me. I realize the hone will need to be done. :)

Thank,
Neil
