Ok so I got the n/a engine I'm using running yesterday and I have a couple problems.
The car start up and idles kinda rough. While I let it sit and idle the rpm's begin dropping very slowly until after a few minutes of idling it dies.
I put new plugs, rotor, cap and wires on it so It's none of those. I double checked those connections today to make sure they were tight. Set the timing at 10 btdc and put some fuel in the car.
I get no codes except for a 43 which is the starter, but that doesn't matter since I have a manual start switch. I drove the car about 100 yards and came back. The car bogs when I hit the pedal and it gets a small backfire of white smoke when I take it over 3k. I'm about to go check the tps but I don't think that's the problem.
The only other possibility I was thinking was maybe a vacuum leak but I have found nothing so far.
Any thoughts?
