Ok, just about ready to put my head back on and I wanted to figure things out BEFORE I couldn't see them anymore (it's all on the intake side). Unfortunately I took it apart with a friend, and he's on vacation now while I'm putting it back together :(. Here's number 1....

The hardpipe. It runs along (underneath?) the intake manifold and connects up to 2 electrical pieces (solenoids?) that I have in the second picture.

Second is a set of electrical connectors...I don't usually have a problem with ones that have a plug but these are just O connectors...they come out of the harness just beyond the rear knock sensor along with a plug that goes in to the starter.

Think those grounds are off the starter? I do remember pulling SOMETHING off the bottom of the starter that had a 10mm or 12mm nut on it...but I figured that might have been the main line from the batter...I dunno.

Thanks for the diagram, thanks a ton for the vacuum diagram, that will help me clean up my engine bay a TON....looked too much like spaghetti with the line routing that was in there before >_<.

Nope, not starter ground wires...they are the ECU ground wires ;)
Might want to make sure you clean them up good and get a solid ground...unless you want all kind of ECU weirdness.

Concerning the "clean-up" for those vac lines...I would not just randomly disconnect and plug those. They control the fuel pressure up VSV, EGR VSV, power steering idle up, charcoal canister BVSV, and route to the BOV. Misrouting on any one of these can/will cause the car to run like crap.

Will keep that in mind. Above all else I want to make sure they're routed properly. As long as I stick those diagrams I'm guessing/hoping I won't have any issues.

Wait a minute.... Wht?? Both of my VSV's are broken but I was told there was no need to replace them because all they do is help my car start on a hot day........ Does this mean my car could be running better if these were replaced...?

That is correct for the FP up VSV...in Houston I would imagine you would need it.

For the EGR VSV, that is what the ECU uses to shut the EGR off above ~4000 RPM. You do not want exhaust gas recirculated above that.

Quick question...the L-260 line (off the EGR Modulator), does that just open to air? Just looks like that in the diagram.

One side of the modulator routes to the VSV...the other side goes to the EGR valve to allow it to open/close.
