for the past three days I have noticed the sound of water from only inside my car right after I start it up. the heat works and the sound seems t go away after about 1-2 min of driving. Then I don't notice it at all until the next morning :dunno:

Air in your coolant system. You have to burp the system by jacking it up front as high as you can. Open the cap and start her up. Run it for about 5 - 10 minutes with the heater on high until all of the air gets out.

That is what the gurgling is.
Do all the checking of hoses, cracked radiator, burping.
I don't mean to be the first to blow the 'bhg' horn. As you check everything off, I hope you find it before you get to that.

I had a noise like that in my car and tracked it down, it seems to be a component in the a/c vent control system, with the car cold the noise is there, that would rule out the issue of the engine coolant/heater system.

p.s. this is with the engine off and key on.....

Barry!

(it's as good a name for a noise as any) ;)

I like it! The next time someone posts up another "why does my car sound like a waterfall" or similar question we can just answer Barry. It's much shorter than explaining the heater core thing, and way friendlier then "search" or "read the FAQ". :icon_bigg
