Just in the process of putting the 7m back together and for some really wierd reason I cant find where to put this plate with the letter M stamped on it. I dont know if its just late and my eyes are screwing with me or im straight blind..?
Its obvious its on the outside of the engine due to the grim thats on it, and it seals off something. Also its held on by the 2 bolts. This was all bagged together about 2.5 months ago on intial tear down except it didnt get marked... Im about ready to drop the motor in, hoping for tommorow except I gotta figure out where this baby goes! Any one got a better clue then me?? :1zhelp:

Im not sure what it is but, you arent going to use the stock J-pipe right? If you are, save yourself the trouble and either bypass it or drill it out.

It looks like an oil block off plate, i belive its on the ex side of the block.

+1 Winnar.

OP, you mean you looked at the engine, and didn't see the gaping hole on the exhaust side of the block?

i know this is off topic but the pulley on the water pump is backwards

Its just sitting on there until I drop the motor in and attach the clutch and fan.

I found out why I didnt see where it went haha. When I painted the block every sealing surface was tape off and threaded holes were plugged. So I kinda missed peeling off some of the tape. Looked like a blank flange on the block.
